Executives' Global Network workshop: Emotional wellbeing for work travel

It was a pleasure to facilitate a workshop on emotional wellbeing for work travel and relocation for EGN Singapore members recently. Nick Jonsson, the MD of EGN Singapore, is a huge advocate for executive wellness and immediately understood the value of emotional wellbeing for executives who frequently travel for work.

About Executives’ Global Network (EGN)

EGN is is “a professional network of peers that provides an exclusive opportunity to work in depth with your personal leadership skills, strengthen your professional toolbox and gain new insights for the benefit of yourself and your company.” EGN offers members the chance to “become a part of our professional network and gain access to a confidential forum where members help each other to face challenges, solve problems and identify opportunities.”

Why is emotional wellbeing so important for work travel?

You can find out more about the challenges of work travel in my previous blog series on this topic. In each blog post, I outline how my work on emotional wellbeing can support for that particular challenge:

  1. Impact on physical health

  2. Impact on mental health

  3. Negative impact on children

  4. High stress levels

  5. Isolation and loneliness

  6. Parental guilt

Positive feedback

I was delighted with the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the workshop. Just a few feedback comments from the workshop participants are shared below:

“Emotional wellbeing is critical for all in roles where they travel! It is important to deal with it.”

“I would probably like to spend a whole day on the topic so it would have been great with more time to explore.”
