International School Magazine: Emotional Impact of Student Relocation

International School Magazine

I’m honoured to have had the opportunity to contribute an article to the latest issue of International School (IS) Magazine.

“IS Magazine reflects the diversity and professionalism of international educators; written by teachers and administrators of international schools, it is published three times a year and received by schools in 157 countries, catering for students aged two to 19 years.” —IS Magazine

My Article

My article (p.21) shares some of the key points from my conversations with the teachers who piloted my transition audit, which forms the foundation of my hello/goodbye transition programme. The teachers who helped with the audit were all teaching in international schools in Singapore. The article concludes with recommended actions to improve new students’ transition experience. You can download a copy of IS Magazine and read my article on page 21 of Volume 21, Issue 2

hello/goodbye

The transition audit I created is available as an integral part of my hello/goodbye programme for international schools. I also offer a family hello/goodbye programme for organisations relocating their staff. Please send me a message if you’d like to find out more.
